Misplaced sonata arctica lyrics
I remember me and my brother were a lot into Green Day back in the day, and Jesus of Suburbia was always a favorite because of its long form. WP,BO - This was the second song I downloaded, and was part of my OG trio of Sonata songs to listen on my iPod. Second favorite opener for a Sonata album, and it's just a super personal song to me. Between this and APBE, the former may have some nostalgic value, but I just like Misplaced a lot more, and given how highly I spoke of the previous track, let that paint a picture of how much I like this song. The intro is fantastic, the verse has this beautiful use of keyboards and change in drums technique, and it all leads to a slower part that just lets the song breath. Misplaced - Other than the song speaking to me at a personal level, this just feels like a natural progression of APBE. RECKONING NIGHT SONGS - This album s in my top 3 albums of all time, and hard as I may try, I just can't pick a single track from this one. It's my third favorite opener for a Sonata album ever. I was always super sad because I thought I'd never get to hear it live, even more so with the amazing No More Silence intro, which I was able to do back in the 2017 tour. from LimeWire (lol) and for a while I was only listening to this, 8th Commandment and another one I'll mention in a bit. It's a very unique sound, and the melody is just really pretty.ĪPBE - This was the third song I ever downloaded from the band. Always loves how the first third of the song has no electric guitar at all. Always had a soft spot for sad songs about lonely girls cause it just reminded me of myself, and much more so during my emo-ish teen period. I've always loved the arrangement, and it's by far my favorite slower track of Silence. Sing in Silence - This one I remember pairing up with some Evanescence and Within Temptation songs in playlists when I was in high school. I didn't even really know any of the other tracks back then. I remember picking up For the Sake of Revenge and checking if the song was there, and bought it based on that. It always brings me back to my teen years, and thought I've always liked other Ecliptica songs, 8th Commandment is just special to me. It's bound to always be a favorite of mine. That was around the time of For the Sake of Revenge, so it wasn't even a recent song back then.
I tried to be VERY selective but of course ended up with a stupid massive list.Ĩth Commandment - The song that introduced me to the band, via a dumb Naruto AMV of all things. To me it's all about a state of mind, and many of the songs bring me back to different moments in my life. I really love how Toni can write amazing songs inspired on things you would never imagine. I can’t do the story justice here but you can find it here OH! One of my favorite stories is the one behind draw me. Obviously love stories that could come from anywhere.Īnd wolf songs which are a big part of Finnish culture. Half a marathon man, was written when Toni got into long distance running.

They truly come from almost anywhere, here’s some examples that I know: where do they come up with ideas for their songs? Are they drawn on personal experiences or do they dabble in concept albums in the same way Kamelot and Coheed and Cambria do?
It's a crazy sort of sincerity and earnestness.īecause I'm somewhat new to them. I think it's how the lyrics are crammed together and so it really has the feeling of someone who is running themselves out of breath with pleading to their loved one to listen to them. I don't quite know what about it is that makes me want to repeat play it. There's one song in particular I can't get out of my head and it's For the Sake of Revenge ( ) Well recently, thanks to Google music, I've been slowly discovering more and more of their work. I was somewhat stunned by how 'epic' the song sounded, but I couldn't get into the lead's singing voice at the time, and the other songs I looked up just weren't doing it for me. I knew about them from 2008 or so, with the first song that I was exposed to being The Last Amazing Greys.
